Today I went out and shot some photos of buildings at South Mountain Community College, near 24th Street and Baseline in Phoenix, Arizona. They have two very interesting buildings, their library and their performing arts center. This photograph is of the library. College campus’ have such wonderful architecture!

I will be posting more later this week.

This morning I thought the sky looked really dramatic so I took the short drive over to South Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona. Here is one of the photos I shot from inside an old building.

This September I was asked to photograph at the Chandler, Arizona – Tullamore, Ireland Sister Cities Association’s September Concert charity event at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Resort. Here are a few select images from that night.

I was driving back to Phoenix from San Diego, and the way that I like to go is take the 15 and cut through the mountains to Palm Springs and then take the 10 all the way in to Phoenix. The drive was pretty wet throughout the mountains and I knew once I got to this outlook that the sky would make for an awesome photo.

This is one of the many souviner shops in New Orleans, except this one has a huge gator display. A lot of them had real small alligator heads you could buy, not quite sure if this one was real…

One of the most interesting parts of New Orleans architecturally would have to be their cemeteries. Because the city is built right at or below sea level, they have to bury people above ground. If you dig maybe a foot or so underground you will reach the water table. Many of these above ground tombs contain the remains of generations of families and are still used today. This image is of Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 in the heart of the beautiful Garden District.

In mid March I took a short trip to New Orleans. There is so much amazing food and architecture, but what New Orleans is probably best known for is its music. Here is a photo of the famed Preservation Hall jazz club in the French Quarter. The line for this place stretches a block down the street and people start lining up hours before the doors open, even on a Tuesday night. Once you get inside they let you stay for one of the three forty five minute sets and once everyone has left they let the next group of people in.

I was going through old images to see if I looked anything over the first time around, and I found this in my collection of images I shot in Ireland last spring. The Galway Cathedral is surprisingly not that old, it was built in the 1950′s. There are so many different light sources, which makes for some cool colors.
